ABIs 21st Annual Bankruptcy Battleground West conference Tackles Key Insolvency Issues on March 22

Alexandria, Va. — More than 200 practitioners are expected to attend the American Bankruptcy Institute's (ABI’s) 21st Annual Bankruptcy Battleground West conference, scheduled for March 22, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Center Plaza in Los Angeles. The day-long conference offers up to 6.0 hours of CLE credit and 7.0 hours of CPE credit. This year's program looks at municipal financial distress for California cities, bankruptcy litigation issues and the challenges of confirming a chapter 11. Adolfo Laurenti, deputy chief economist at Mesirow Financial (Chicago), will provide a keynote titled “When Bubbles Burst” to examine how to navigate the risks for the U.S. economy, and the scenarios that most likely shape the bankruptcy and turnaround business in 2013 and 2014. This year’s program will also feature a special lunch program with interactive roundtables on proposed Bankruptcy Code reform as part of ABI’s Commission to Study the Reform of Chapter 11. Participants at ABI’s Battleground West will be able to provide substantive comments and recommendations on the topics being studied by the Commission.
