Alexandria, Va. ABI announces that Amy Denton Harris of Stichter, Riedel, Blain & Postler, P.A. (Tampa, Fla.) has been selected as one of ABI’s “40 Under 40,” ABI’s annual program that recognizes 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40. Honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony during ABI’s 2019 Winter Leadership Conference, taking place Dec. 5-7 at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

Harris joined Stichter, Riedel, Blain, & Postler P.A. in Tampa, Fla., in March 2003 and became a shareholder in 2010. She specializes in the representation of debtors, assignors, committees, creditors, trustees, assignees, purchasers and other parties in bankruptcy cases, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and out-of-court workouts. Harris is also active in the firm’s representation of parties in commercial litigation in state and federal court, including litigation involving directors and officers. She has been particularly active in the representation of real estate developers and homebuilders, medical practices and physicians, agribusinesses, and independent and franchised restaurant chains and other food-service companies. Harris received the Gold Letter award in 2012 from the Pro Bono Committee of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit for devoting more than 100 hours to pro bono service. She received her J.D. with honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 2002, her Master’s in accountancy from the University of South Florida in 1999 and her B.S. cum laude in accounting from the University of South Florida in 1998.

“This 2019 class of honorees is incredibly accomplished and diverse, and well representative of the multidisciplinary nature of our community,” said ABI Executive Director Samuel J. Gerdano. “We look forward to engaging these young leaders in the full range of ABI's activities, in service to the profession.”

The “40 Under 40” winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI’s current leadership. Nominations were submitted via the initiative’s website, through which professionals nominated themselves or a colleague. Membership in ABI was not required, and more than 350 candidates were evaluated. Those selected were chosen from both large and small firms from every region of the country, and represent diverse practice areas such as law, finance, accounting, consulting, academia, government and more.
