Alexandria, Va. ABI announces that Angela M. Libby of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP (New York) has been selected as one of ABI’s “40 Under 40,” ABI’s annual program that recognizes 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40. Honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony during ABI’s 2019 Winter Leadership Conference, taking place Dec. 5-7 at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

Libby is a partner in Davis Polk’s Corporate Department in New York, practicing in its Restructuring Group. She advises debtors, creditors, banks, hedge funds, lenders, asset-purchasers and other strategic parties in a wide range of corporate restructuring matters, including pre-packaged and traditional bankruptcies, out-of-court workouts, debtor-in-possession and exit financing transactions, asset sales, bankruptcy litigation, cross-border insolvencies and liability management transactions. Libby received IFLR's U.S. Rising Star Award (one of only three nationwide) this year and was recognized by Global Restructuring Review in its 2019 "Women in Restructuring" survey. She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2011 and her A.B. in history and religion from Dartmouth College in 2008.

The “40 Under 40” winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI’s current leadership. Nominations were submitted via the initiative’s website, through which professionals nominated themselves or a colleague. Membership in ABI was not required, and more than 350 candidates were evaluated. Those selected were chosen from both large and small firms from every region of the country, and represent diverse practice areas such as law, finance, accounting, consulting, academia, government and more.
