Camille C. Bent of Bakerhostetler LLP Selected as One of ABI’s 2019 “40 Under 40”

Alexandria, Va. ABI announces that Camille C. Bent of BakerHostetler LLP (New York) has been selected as one of ABI’s “40 Under 40,” ABI’s annual program that recognizes 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40. Honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony during ABI’s 2019 Winter Leadership Conference, taking place Dec. 5-7 at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

Bent is an associate at BakerHostetler in New York, where she concentrates her practice in the areas of bankruptcy, financial restructuring and commercial litigation. She has significant experience in litigation arising out of corporate insolvencies, including in fraudulent-transfer, negligent-misrepresentation and wrongful-redemption cases. Bent has represented debtors, creditors and other interested parties in a variety of industries. She approaches all situations with a detail-oriented and analytical eye toward the most effective and efficient solutions. Bent currently represents Irving H. Picard, the Securities Investor Protection Act Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities, LLC, and she litigates multimillion-dollar avoidance and recovery actions against foreign and domestic entities to recover fraudulent transfers for the benefit of defrauded investors. She received her M.B.A. from Emory University Goizueta Business School and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2009, and she earned her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in 2005.

The “40 Under 40” winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI’s current leadership. Nominations were submitted via the initiative’s website, through which professionals nominated themselves or a colleague. Membership in ABI was not required, and more than 350 candidates were evaluated. Those selected were chosen from both large and small firms from every region of the country, and represent diverse practice areas such as law, finance, accounting, consulting, academia, government and more.
