CLAIRE ANN RESOP ELECTED TO ABI’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

May 5, 2006, Alexandria, Va. The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announces that Claire Ann Resop of Brennan, Steil & Basting, SC (Madison, Wis.) has been elected to ABI’s Board of Directors. An active member since 2001, Resop is the Advisory Board chair of ABI’s Central States’ Bankruptcy Workshop and participates in ABI’s Uniform Commercial Code and Bankruptcy Litigation Committees. She will serve a term of three years on the 60-member ABI Board of Directors.

A partner at Brennan, Steil & Basting, SC, Resop’s practice is concentrated in the areas of creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, collection, and commercial and civil litigation. She is also a chapter 7 trustee for the Western District of Wisconsin and was recently named a Top 25 “Female Wisconsin Super Lawyer for 2005.” Resop received her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1993 and B.A. from Marquette University in 1987.
