Damian S. Schaible Elected to ABI's Executive Committee

Alexandria, Va. — The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announces that Damian S. Schaible of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP (New York) has been elected to serve as an at-large member of ABI’s Executive Committee. An ABI member since 2005, Schaible is on the advisory committee of ABI’s Mid-Level Professional Development Program and is a frequent speaker at ABI conferences, and he has been an active member of ABI’s Secured Credit Committee. In 2013, he was awarded the ABI Membership Service award for his work on the committee. He will serve a term of two years as an at-large Executive Committee member.

Schaible is a partner in Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP’s Insolvency and Restructuring Group in New York, where he works on a wide range of corporate restructurings and bankruptcies and represents debtors, creditors, agent banks, lenders, asset-purchasers and other strategic parties. After receiving his law degree, Schaible clerked for Hon. Danny J. Boggs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He currently chairs the Committee on Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization of the New York City Bar Association. Schaible graduated magna cum laude from NYU School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served on the NYU Law Review.
