Douglas L. Lutz Elected to ABIs Board of Directors

Alexandria, Va. — The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announces that Douglas L. Lutz of Frost Brown Todd LLC (Cincinnati, Ohio) has been elected to ABI’s Board of Directors. An ABI member since 1996, Lutz has served as the chair for ABI’s Central States Bankruptcy Workshop and is a frequent speaker at ABI events. He will serve a term of three years on the 60-member ABI Board of Directors. Lutz is a member of Frost Brown Todd LLC and is practice group chair of the firm's bankruptcy & restructuring group. His practice is primarily focused on financial and restructuring mainly in the area of bankruptcy and out-of-court workouts. Lutz frequently represents corporate debtors, secured creditors, creditors' committees, landlords, unsecured creditors and trustees in multi-million dollar bankruptcy cases and out-of-court workouts. He also represents purchasers of businesses and business assets from financially distressed companies. Lutz has acted as the trustee in the liquidation of a securities broker-dealer under the Securities Investor Protection Act. In addition to his financial restructuring practice, he also represents several closely held corporations with regard to general business, commercial and real estate issues. Lutz is listed in the bankruptcy section of the 2007 through 2010 editions of The Best Lawyers in America and was recognized in Law and Politics Magazine as an “Ohio Rising Star” in 2005 and in Ohio Super Lawyers from 2007-11. Lutz received his B.S. from Miami (Ohio) University in 1987 and his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1991.
