JEAN MAESS ELECTED TO ABI’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

May 2, 2007, Alexandria, Va. — The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announces that Jean Maess of Thomson West (Rochester, N.Y.) has been elected to ABI’s Board of Directors. An ABI member since 1998, she previously served two terms as ABI Director.Shewill serve a term of three years on the 60-member ABI Board of Directors.

Maess is the vice president of practice area marketing and development for Thomson West, where she is the executive in charge of marketing and development of information for specialty practitioners. Maess is licensed to practice law in New York, and has been with some version of West/LCP/CBC since starting as an editor in 1982. She most recently served as vice president of strategic marketing. She has represented Thomson West on the nonprofit boards of the Red Cross, American Heart Association, United Way and Goodwill. Maess received her B.S. from the State University of New York at Fredonia and her J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law.
