Mary Kleppinger Named ABI's Chief People and Culture Officer

Alexandria, Va. ABI is pleased to announce the promotion of Mary Kleppinger, SHRM-SCP, to the position of Chief People and Culture Officer. In this new role, she will head ABI’s talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, performance management, organizational alignment and culture. Formerly ABI’s Director of Administration, Kleppinger joined the staff in 2004 and has provided a variety of key services to ABI members and staff, including oversight of human resources, database management and general administration.

"Throughout her years at ABI, Mary has proven that she has what it takes to move ABI's greatest asset, its staff, into the future," said ABI Executive Director Amy Quackenboss. "I look forward to working with her in her new position."

Prior to joining ABI, Kleppinger served for seven years as the Director of Human Resources for the Vision Council of America. Her previous experience also includes five years serving as a manager at national marketing communications firm Griffin & Co. in Washington, D.C., and as an advertising coordinator at the Journal of Light Construction. Kleppinger received her B.S. in general finance from the University of Vermont in 1991.
