PROFESSOR MARGARET HOWARD ELECTED TO
ABI’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

May 10, 2006, Alexandria, Va. The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announces that Prof. Margaret Howard of Washington & Lee University Law School (Lexington, Va.) has been elected to ABI’s Board of Directors. An active member since 2002, Prof. Howard is a former ABI Robert M. Zinman Resident Scholar (Spring 2002) and participates in the activities of ABI’s Asset Sales Committee. She will serve a term of three years on the 60-member ABI Board of Directors.

A professor of Law at Washington & Lee University since 2001, Howard’s teaching focuses on bankruptcy, commercial law and contracts. She is the John W. Elrod Law Alumni Association Fellow in Teaching Excellence and a member of the American Law Institute. She is also the author of the ABI publication Bankruptcy Overview. Prof. Howard received her J.D. from the Washington University in 1975 and B.A. from Duke University in 1969.
