TRACY C. SANDLER ELECTED TO ABI’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

May 3, 2006, Alexandria, Va. The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announces that Tracy C. Sandler of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP (Toronto) has been elected to ABI’s Board of Directors. An active member since 2000, Sandler currently participates on ABI’s Asset Sales, International and Finance and Banking committees. Sandler was instrumental in the development of ABI’s international website, www.globalinsolvency.com. Shewill serve a term of three years on the 60-member ABI Board of Directors.

Sandler’s practice focuses on areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, secured transactions and debtor/creditor law with extensive experience in cross-border insolvencies. She is currently the Toronto Chapter president of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and also serves on the TMA Board of Directors. Sandler received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, LL.B., in 1989 and her B.A. from McMaster University in 1986.
