Williams, who is of Native American descent and coordinates outreach to Native American tribes on ABI's Veterans Affairs Task Force, analyzes emerging issues regarding tribal sovereign immunity, the collision between state and tribal jurisdiction, and a brewing dispute over the ownership of former tribal lands and mineral rights.
