Annerose Tashiro Elected to ABIs Board of Directors

Alexandria, Va. — The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announces that Dr. Annerose Tashiro of Schultze & Braun GmbH (Achern, Germany) has been elected to ABI’s Board of Directors. An ABI member since 2005, Tashiro is on the advisory committee of ABI’s International Insolvency Symposium, is a frequent speaker at ABI programs, has written articles for ABI Journal and has been an active member of ABI’s Technology and Intellectual Property and International committees. She will serve a term of three years on the 60-member ABI Board of Directors. Tashiro is a partner with Schultze & Braun GmbH in Achern, Germany, and head of its International Business Recovery/Cross-Border Restructuring and Insolvencies group. She has acted domestically and internationally for many companies involved in debt restructuring and turnaround in several high-profile German insolvencies, including acting as special counsel on U.S. chapter 7 and 11 proceedings and distressed M&A. Dr. Tashiro is the joint chief editor of turnaround magazine Eurofenix and is a regular contributor to International Corporate Rescue. She is co-chair of ABI’s International Committee and is a member of INSOL, the German-Japanese Business Council, IWIRC Europe, the International Insolvency Institute and the Japanese Association for Turnaround Professionals. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Düsseldorf and Keio University in Tokyo.
