Alexandria, Va. ABI announces that Krystal Mikkilineni of Bradshaw, Fowler, Proctor & Fairgrave, P.C. (Des Moines, Iowa) has been selected as one of ABI’s “40 Under 40,” ABI’s annual program that recognizes 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40. The honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony to be held on Dec. 10 at ABI’s 2021 Winter Leadership Conference at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

Mikkilineni is a shareholder at Bradshaw, Fowler, Proctor & Fairgrave, P.C., where she is actively involved in the bankruptcy and restructuring field and in many bankruptcy professional organizations. Prior to joining the Bradshaw Law Firm in 2014, she clerked for Hon. Anita L. Shodeen, Chief Judge of the Southern District of Iowa Bankruptcy Court. While at Bradshaw, Mikkilineni focused her practice primarily on the representation of debtors, creditors, committees and trustees in bankruptcy and reorganization cases. She moved to Seattle in 2019, where she clerked for Hon. Brian D. Lynch in the Tacoma division of the Western District of Washington Bankruptcy Court. She then moved back to Des Moines and re-joined the Bradshaw Law Firm in 2020, focusing again on bankruptcy and reorganization issues. Mikkilineni participated as one of 40 attorneys in the 2019 NextGen Program of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges in Washington, D.C. She also regularly speaks at conferences and seminars on various bankruptcy topics. Mikkilineni received her J.D., with honors, in 2013 from Drake University Law School and her B.A. magna cum laude in 2009 from the University of Northern Iowa.

“The 2021 honorees are a testament to the future of the insolvency profession, with exemplary accomplishments in both their careers and communities,” said ABI Executive Director Amy Quackenboss. “We look forward to this diverse collection of young leaders propelling ABI's full range of activities forward to advance the profession.”

The “40 Under 40” winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI’s current leadership. Nominations were submitted earlier this year by the candidates themselves or by colleagues via the initiative’s website, http://abi40under40.org. More than 200 candidates, each with outstanding records of professional achievement and community leadership, were evaluated by 20 judges. The majority of the applicants were partners, directors or managing directors at their firms.
