Jeffrey M. Reisner Elected to ABI's Board of Directors

Alexandria, Va. — The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announces that Jeffrey M. Reisner of Irell & Manella LLP (Newport Beach, Calif.) has been elected to ABI’s Board of Directors. An ABI member since 2001, Reisner is a frequent speaker at ABI conferences and participates on ABI’s Business Reorganization, Commercial Fraud and Financial Advisors and Investment Banking committees. He will serve a term of three years on the 60-member ABI Board of Directors.

Reisner is a partner and member of the litigation and transactional departments at Irell & Manella LLP. His practice focuses on representing private-equity, hedge funds, privately held and public companies and high-net-worth individuals in connection with complex commercial litigation, mergers and acquisitions, financings and general corporate governance, as well as the reorganization of their (or their portfolio companies') financial affairs. Reisner is also head of the interdisciplinary Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Creditors' Rights practice group. In addition, he frequently leads corporate investigations covering topics as diverse as alleged sexual misconduct and corporate and financial malfeasance. Reisner is consistently recognized in Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and was appointed to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Bankruptcy Task Force. Reisner earned his J.D./M.B.A. from New York University in 1989 and his B.S. in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University in 1985.
